Ben Daglish
Composer, arranger, performer  and more...
1966-2018 - he will be sorely missed.

Ben Daglish was at the heart of the 8-Bit Symphony along with his good friend Rob Hubbard. Apart from being a Patron Saint of SID, he co-arranged three of the tracks in the programme (Trap, Ark Pandora and William Wobbler) and advised on many more. This concert is a loving tribute to him following his untimely passing on 1st October 2018.

Here's his accomplishments over the years, taken from his website.

Bands
This is the list for the last 10 years. Before that, it's all a bit of a blur, but included jazz groups, cover bands and full-on diddley.
  • Loscoe State Opera. "Raggle-taggle-festival-folk-rock" was my favourite description.
  • SID 80's. A loose collective of 'C64 scene' musicians who perform at Games Conventions
  • Cold Flame. My Ian Anderson impression.
  • Ensemble 8 Noodling at its finest.
  • Thee Na Shee. One of the most accomplished Celtic bands on the scene.
  • Tomorrow's Ancestor. Eco-festival favourites. Now sadly defunct, though the spirit lives on :)

Computer Game Composition
Hundreds.

The most definitive list of my C64 tunes is at
HSVC, but there were many many more, not to mention all the others on other machines (Spectrum, ST, Amiga, Amstrad, PC...) that never got a C64 release.

Compere
Host for Festival stages, Club nights and Computer conventions, communicating with music fans from all walks of life, and from all over the world.
